Rubin Museum of Art

17th Street and 7th Avenue,

Available for intimate events, large receptions of up to 500 and seated dinners of up to 220; a stunning Spiral lobby accommodates 100, state-of-the-art theater accommodates 140.

$500 per hour, and private use of the museum after public hours starts at $5,000.


The Nuyorican Poets Café

236 East 3rd Street,

120 person -capacity space equipped with tables, chairs, and a state of the art sound system. Projector and screen available. Rotating artwork.

Center for Remembering & Sharing

Rent two yoga/dance studios, a counseling room, or the entire center. Amenities include A/C, wi-fi, and sound systems in each room, a video projection system and theatrical lighting in the large studio, and access to a small kitchen and private bathrooms.

The New York Open Center

Taller Boricua / The Puerto Rican Workshop

Available: four meeting rooms including a full 175-seat theater with on-site management and rooms that fit 30 or under.

$300 for a half-day in one of the galleries to $1,200 for the full-day multipurpose room.


Bnai Zion Foundation

Near Grand Central Station,

Meeting rooms for meetings or performance events with Kosher catering available. 25-200 capacity spaces include a theater and a terrace.



Sadie Nash Leadership Project

Brooklyn Heights,

Daytime, weekday space available short or long term. 600 square feet, (one small and one very large room, storage) lots of windows facing north and west.

$30/hour, negotiable depending on number of hours.


The New York Academy of Medicine

Fifth Avenue and 103rd Street,

Facilities include a recently renovated conference level, a 500 fixed-seat theatre-style auditorium, a wood-paneled board room and several multipurpose rooms. 20 to 500 persons.



Mount Manresa Jesuit Retreat House and Conference Center

Staten Island,

Five conference rooms fitting up to 120 people, offering overnight accommodations and full catering on ten gorgeous acres.

The Kimmel Center at New York University

60 Washington Square South,

Facilities include a 320 seat banquet hall, a 420 seat state of the art auditorium and 19 conference-breakout rooms with seating capacity from 20-150. Catering available in-house.

$135 to $1,020 per 4-hour block.


African Services Committee

Night and weekend rental space available.

The Association for Research and Enlightenment of New York

Includes a full kitchen and dining area, conference space, break-out meeting areas, and mini-computer lab with Internet access.

Subud New York

230 West 29th Street,

Two meeting rooms to rent on an occasional or regular basis. The upper hall is approximately 4,000 square feet and has a certificate of occupancy for 313. It sports a small elevated stage. The lower hall is 1.600 square feet. Warm up kitchen and serving area available.



The Family Center

State-of-the-art facilities feature full accessibility for persons with disabilities, wireless high-speed internet, access to audiovisual equipment and teleconferencing.



The House of the Redeemer (Fabbri Mansion)

7 East 95th Street,

Various spaces, including a library, refectory, and courtyard, with capacities of up to 100 people. Catering is available.

$250- $2,250 a day, depending on needs—reduced rates for nonprofits.


University Settlement

The Actors Theatre Workshop

Two rehearsal studios and a theater space available for short and long term rentals.



The YWCA of Brooklyn

Downtown Brooklyn,

Spaces range from Memorial Hall, which accommodates 550 to various smaller meeting rooms that accommodate from 40 to 175.

$37.50/hr, $750 for 4 hrs.


The Neighborhood Preservation Center

Two meeting rooms that can combine into one that fits up to 40 people.



East End Temple

An historic, newly renovated building with daytime weekday space available for meetings. Six small rooms and one large one fitting 90 people.

$300-$650 for four-hour periods.


The Support Center for Nonprofit Management

305 Seventh Avenue at 27th Street.

Two rooms available, fitting up to 25 and 50 people, respectively. Equipment available to rent.

$125-$250 for a full day.


The CAI Training & Conference Center


7 large rooms; 2 small rooms, accommodating 6-120 people. A/V equipment available for extra charge. Discounts available for nonprofits.

Brooklyn Community Pride Center
